HONIARA, LELEMUKU.COM - A former councillor has called on the current Honiara City Council administration to concentrate on providing the expected services in Honiara City.
Jimmy Sevesi said despite the political development, councilors must not be carried away but concentrate on their duties.
“Political development is not a new thing and is common to local government,” Mr Sevesi said.
He said criticisms must be seen as a way to strengthen the council and look at ways to effectively carry out their duties.
He thanked the City Clerk for keeping the council intact amidst the many challenges recently faced by the council.
He stressed that continuation of provision of service to residents of Honiara City is important and must not be affected by the political development in the council.
“I would also want to thank the likes of Jack Maeli in ensuring the stability in the council.”
The former councilor applauded the current service provided by the council and urges them to work together for the benefit of the people they represent. (SolomonStarNews)
