Papuan Separatist Group Takes 4 People Hostage in Yahukimo, Shoots 3 Dead

JAYAPURA, LELEMUKU.COM – The Indonesian police in Papua stated that an armed separatist group in Yahukimo Regency had carried out an act of terror on Thursday (24/6/2021) at 11.05 am local time.
The separatist group led by Tendius Gwijangge or also known as Tendinus Murib has carried out an act of terror by shooting and holding civilians and employees of a company hostage in Bingky Village (Pingki), Seradela District.
According to Papuan Police spokesman Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, around 3 people died. The victims were named Suardi, Sudarto and Idin.
Two people were reportedly injured, namely Saiful (47) and Obaja Nang (35).
Meanwhile, 4 other people whose identities were not published were reported to have been held hostage by the group.
Kamal said the military and police were investigating and pursuing the separatist group. (Edy)
